The Chicago Sculpture Exhibit (CSE) is celebrating 22 years of installing large-scale public art throughout our city’s neighborhoods. Become a part of a Chicago tradition and submit your application today!

Every year, CSE showcases the art of 50+ sculptors in over 15 Chicago neighborhoods. Professional sculptors are invited to submit proposals for consideration. Artists must be experienced with the design, construction and installation of outdoor sculpture and must have a documented track-record of this experience.

Professional 3-D artists are invited to create large-scale sculptures that are installed outdoors at identified public sites. Each sculpture selected from the CSE jury will be matched with a partnering sponsor who chooses the installation site. Artwork will remain on display for one year. CSE oversees the installation and removal at all locations. A $2,000 honorarium will be awarded for each selected work-half paid at contract signing and the balance at installation. At least 50 sculptures will be included in the 2023 exhibit.

Chicago Sculpture Exhibit is a private, not-for-profit organization that partners with the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District. Partners also include private businesses, cultural institutions, neighborhood organizations, individuals and chambers of commerce.

Applications are accepted through December 16.
