Victoria Fuller
As an artist, I allow myself to explore many different avenues and mediums of expression. The focus of my work is on showing systems of man and nature and the impact of that nexus. My artwork materials and subjects vary. I play with both man–made appropriated objects assembled into sculpture that reflect forms found in nature, and I also make direct depictions of natural forms and systems. My interest in nature stems from growing up on a farm surrounded by nature, and from my admiration of displays in natural history museums and illustrations in biology books. My exploration in these themes is my desire to illuminate the universal experience of life on earth. Some of my work is about human psychological issues, the influence of nature on humans and vise versa, and environmental impact.
