My work is about hope and identity of myself as a part of the larger natural world.
The ideas come from the woods and the waves and the way wind works with form.
Large bodies of water feel like freedom to me, and the vast unknown.
Observe, paint, tell stories, look some more.
For many years, working in series that change with the seasons, the paintings dance between water based materials and oil based. Perhaps there’s something deeper about trying to mix water and oil, in life, and in my avocation.
