Beth Shadur Exhibit at Space 900 Gallery

Beth Shadur will show new works from her National Park Project series at Space 900 Gallery in the month of February. The gallery is located at 816 Dempster in Evanston and will be open for weekend hours and by appointment. The show opens on Feb. 3 and runs through Feb. 25. An opening reception is on Friday, Feb. 3 from 5-8pm and a closing reception is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26 from 5-8 pm.

Shadur’s works reflect her concern for pristine landscapes that are considered sacred by various cultures for their beauty and symbolic importance. Shadur not only portrays the beauty of various parklands, but also visually narrates the original Native cultural history of the lands, as well as park development and current threats at the hand of humans to these exquisite environments. The show includes accompanying text.
