Budget Proposal Eliminates National Endowment for the Arts

The Trump Administration recently released a budget proposal for the coming fiscal year (2020) which would cut domestic discretionary spending by $54 billion. Included in these massive cuts is the elimination of funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The combined $997 million budget for these four agencies represents only 0.02% of the federal budget.
