Julie will be unveiling new works (top image- “No Right Turn”) along with other paintings of “liminal spaces” including a 24” x 72” diptych and paintings on panels. Paired with weaver Katie Vota, both artists explore abstract, symbolic, and built environments, transforming them into luminous visual experiences at the newly renovated Leslie Wolfe Gallery, which is part of the Old Town Art Center and Old Town Triangle Association.

“The Neighborhood”
Group Exhibition reflecting summer in Chicago!

Both Julie Sulzen and Dan Zamudio’s works have been accepted into “The Neighborhood” exhibition. Dan’s hand-assembled Polaroid collage image “Bunny Hutch” and Julie’s paintings “Hollyhocks” and “Summer Garden” will be included in this Wicker Park exhibit focused on capturing the unique personality of Chicago in the summer.
The Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts awarded Julie an “Honorable MentionAward” at the “Gold Medal Show” for her painting “Evening” which sold prior to that night’s Opening Reception.
