The imagery presented in my paintings is reflective of our times as is the technique used. All paintings in this series are a combination of photographic transfers and oil on canvas. All images are derived from my photography and are juxtaposed to create the desired image.
Recent world and personal events have strongly influenced the content in my work. Though the color still remains vibrant turmoil, separation and flight have become central themes. Searching for answers hoping to find a peaceful existence in the 21st century and dealing with globalization affects is now my major interest.
Hopefully, solutions will be found that increase our understanding and acceptance of different cultures and give us the ability to incorporate the best from each society to help improve our lives and the earth we live in.
