Shelley Gilchrist’s abstract work explores line, shape, color and, more recently, form. She creates shaped paintings in encaustic and sculptural paintings (seen here) in acrylic. Her use of seemingly random colors creates a sense of play, and she intends each design to be visually dynamic.
Gilchrist is based in the Chicago area and exhibits her work throughout the U.S.
