Artist Statment: Pamela Staker is a Chicago-based abstract painter and sculptor. For this show, she recycles everyday materials, including wire, cardboard, spray paint, acrylic, and gold leaf, into sculptural forms with transformed surfaces. The organic geometry of the shapes, minimal use of earthy colors, and highly worked, textural surfaces will create an intriguing counterbalance to the hard materials and shapes in their Kohler Signature Store by Studio41 environment.
