Rosemarie Adcock’s Adam & Eve at the 2021 Illinois State Fair

Rosemarie Adcock’s painting, The Expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden is going to the 2021 Illinois State Fair. The 48” x 48” oil painting will be exhibited as part of the Professional Art Exhibition. All art is displayed in a beautiful building on the fairgrounds.

Previous Fair attendees will recall the artist’s Miraculous Draught of Fishes, the First Place winner from the last Fair. The winning “Fishes” painting is another 48″ x 48″ in the artist’s current series.

This year’s entry is actually the artist’s second painting on the same subject. The first Expulsion painting is monumental-sized at approximately 7 ft. high. One similarity in the 2 paintings is in the identical serpent, an example of the artist’s use of repeated imagery to connect the themes.

Multiple animals and birds fill all the paintings in Adcock’s current series.

The Illinois State Fair runs August 12 through August 22nd in Springfield, Illinois. For more information on the artist’s work, see RosemarieAdcock.com
