Oak Park Art League Presents “More Than Meets The Eye” – A National Juried Abstract Art Exhibition

Groundbreaking exhibition explores the profound and mysterious through contemporary abstract art

OAK PARK, IL – The Oak Park Art League’s Carriage House Gallery is proud to announce

“Making the Invisible Visible,” a compelling national juried exhibition featuring contemporary
abstract artists who dare to transform the ineffable into visual poetry. The exhibition will run from
October 10 through November 2, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 11, from 1-4 PM.

Exploring the Unseen Through Abstract Art

“More Than Meets The Eye” celebrates abstract art’s unique power to transcend
representational boundaries, showcasing works that range from rigorous geometric forms to
bold expressionistic gestures, created with conventional media to innovative assemblages of
found materials. What unites these diverse approaches is a shared commitment to revealing the
unseen—to excavating meaning beyond the realm of immediate perception.

The exhibition features artists who draw inspiration from the profound and mysterious: the revelations of quantum physics, the inquiries of metaphysics, the depths of spiritual experience, and the elegance of pure formal design. These works challenge viewers to look deeper, think differently, and experience art as a gateway to understanding.

The exhibition presents works by 34 distinguished artists from across the nation.
