The Illinois State Museum, in collaboration with Juneteenth Inc. – Springfield, IL, and State Historic Sites at Springfield, IL, proudly announces NOIR 6: The Truth exhibition. This upcoming art exhibit, set for 2026, will be hosted at the Old State Capitol Building, an Illinois Historic Site. NOIR 6 will feature Black art that vividly portrays the life and times of Black Americans. Curated by Austin Wells and co-curated by Jaliyah Ross, this exhibit offers an opportunity for artists to contribute to a cultural dialogue about identity, belonging, and historical truth as part of the Juneteenth celebration.
