Nicole Beck

Public artist & sculptor

Nicole Beck fuses rhythmic and poetic systems found in nature and the sciences. Sculptures pulse with paradigm shifts that are dynamic and quirky and wholly unique. Recent site-specific installations for public art commissions arise from highly collaborative input and exhaustive research, featuring inventive materials like dichroic glass, lenticular polycarbonate and programmable RGB LEDs. Beck’s works appear nationwide with multiple regional commissions throughout Illinois. Nicole has attended artists residencies at the Ragdale Foundation, IL, the Anderson Ranch Arts Center, CO, the Vermont Studio Center, VT and Buffalo Creek Arts Center, NV. She has also been a Lead Artist specializing in collaborative public art projects in diverse communities throughout Chicago for over 20 years.
