Woodblock prints

My love for narrative was derived from my European parentage, Israeli childhood and American influences. I currently create woodblock prints and handmade art books. I have shown my prints, paintings and multimedia works nationally and internationally since 1984.

My process begins with written concepts on which I build visual images. My woodcuts narrate personal/feminist fables, religious topics and scientific/political work.

The stark imagery, concision of line and heightened narrative to convey a message, are challenges that I embrace in my black ink woodcuts. My prints are usually created as a series, I find a theme and develop the narrative.
