It is human nature to respond to Rhythm: we dance, sing, and make art. Rhythm in visual art can be expressed in the language of lines, shapes and colors. When we listen to music, we channel our emotional responses through mark-making: gestural lines vibrate like sound waves. This exhibition was juried by Melanie P. Brown, Darren Oberto, and Ross Martens. See how the artists they selected respond in their own unique way -to the beat of our own drums.
